Beetle kill is unfortunatley a way of life these days in Jackson County, but by getting ahead of the curve and removing the infected trees the ranch's forest has already begun to bounce back with growing young pine and aspen everywhere, as well as prairie grasses and wildflowers growing in clearings that once were deep, dark pine forest.
